About Me
My name is Christopher Blanchard
I recently graduated from Teesside University with a First Class Honours Degree in Games Design (BA). My university experience included a range of projects, from solo game creation to large-scale collaborations with up to 30 team members from different courses, strengthening both my technical skills and my ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
My main focus is on level and gameplay design, with a particular interest in player psychology—understanding why players make specific choices and how this can inform level traversal. Applying these insights has allowed me to create levels that are both intuitive and enjoyable.
Most recently, I completed a three-month internship in the games industry, where I worked as part of a level design team on a 3D game. Using the Infinity27 Pipeline, I contributed to taking levels from preproduction through to functional whiteboxing and gameplay setup, preparing them for artist handoff. I was responsible for making sure levels were compact yet interconnected, giving players multiple paths and enhancing exploration. This experience further developed my skills in structured level design workflows and team-based development.
